Recently I blogged about the decision to purchase Chris Green’s new book, Online Arbitrage: Sourcing Secrets for Buying Products Online to Resell for BIG PROFITS. (You can read that post here.) I made a promise to review only after having read it, and I’m here now to do just that.
I know that for those of us just starting our Amazon FBA businesses, where and how we spend our dollars is especially important. I think honest reviews are important to the decision making process, and while I’m sure you can find numerous reviews that are better written than this one will be, you won’t find one more honest. 🙂
(I have no affiliation with Chris Green. I will, however, receive a small Amazon commission if you choose to purchase the book via my link.)
Online Arbitrage: Sourcing Secrets for Buying Products Online to Resell for BIG PROFITS
In case you’re impatient and would rather pluck a wolverine’s eyebrows than read this entire post, let me answer the question you’re asking yourself right now.
Should I buy Chris Green’s book?
You have a super tight budget and you’ll have to rob Peter to pay Paul to get it.
You are already a champ at online arbitrage, or you just plain don’t care to do it.
You prefer doing everything in your business yourself, including tedious research.
You have a wonderfully successful Amazon FBA business that is exactly where you want it to be.
You want to grow your FBA business quickly, but thoughtfully.
You are tired of scanning the clearance aisles and coming up with nothing.
You’ve been scanning everything in stores and still feel your business isn’t doing as well as it could be.
You’ve tried online arbitrage and you haven’t yet really broken through.
As some FBA sellers have stated in various social groups, you can likely find most, if not all the nuts & bolts of what Chris does as it pertains to online sourcing on your own and without spending a penny to do it. Are you a research hound? Do you delight in spending hours and hours (or more to the point, days and weeks), doing a deep dive into processes and shortcuts and applications and extensions?
If so, I encourage you to stop reading right here and hop to it. I will tell you that I totally get it. I’m a research fanatic myself. I’m a geek who loves it. In all candor, I’m sort of wicked good at it. But, I also recognize that every moment I sit in front of this screen researching the “how” of Amazon FBA sourcing is time I could have spent actually finding profitable products to sell.
In his book, Online Arbitrage: Sourcing Secrets for Buying Products Online to Resell for Big Profits, Chris Green swings wide the doors to the mind of a seasoned and successful FBA seller and invites you to walk around. He teaches you (and shows you with myriad private videos) all the shortcuts, processes, tools, bells & whistles he uses to create his continued success.
Frankly, I would have paid him for nothing more than just for a list of the tools he uses and recommends. But, then again, I’m a person who values my time because I understand that it’s the one resource I can’t get more of.
I think of it this way…
I could drive over to the Turkeys-R-Us store and buy a whole turkey, bring it home, go elbow deep in it pulling out the gross turkey parts my North Carolina relatives fight over, wash it, roast it, and carve it up for sandwiches for the week.
I could pay the nice lady with the hairnet and gloves to slice some of the turkey she has already roasted and put it in a neat little bag for me.
But, that’s just me. You may see it a different way.
Not only did Chris carve out a path for me (see what I did there?) by sharing his favorite tools, he added incredible value by showing me exactly HOW he uses them, WHY he uses them, and how I can use them for maximum profit.
From behind his eyes, so to speak, I got to watch as he scanned online sites from start to finish and the FBA profitability bells started to ring for him. What is it worth to you to see the actual process this vetted Amazon seller uses to create his success…as it happens?
The day, I mean the very day, I opened my Kindle copy and implemented ONE strategy taught in Chris’ book, I purchased something that will make back the cost of the book and it took me roughly ten minutes. That is not an exaggeration, nor is it an exaggeration to say that every day since then I’ve straight up BLOWN IT UP in online arbitrage.
If you saw my office and staging area, you’d very clearly see my BC (before Chris) products waiting to ship and my AC (after Chris) products because they are so, so different. Different how? My margins are just ridiculous now, that’s how. It’s night and day.
Note: Online Arbitrage: Sourcing Secrets for Buying Products Online to Resell for Big Profits is, in my opinion, not best served as a print book. I bought the paperback because that made the Kindle version free. I’ll quite likely sell back my print copy at some point as the online version was, for me anyway, the far superior way to digest and learn the material. Unless you’re someone who likes a physical book in your hand, I’d opt for the Kindle version. (You don’t need a Kindle to read it – you can download it to your computer.)
All I have left to say is this…
Thank you, Chris Green. Most sincerely.
